Water and Boat Safety - HUGE AWESOME EVENT!!!!!

Cub Scout Pack #478 hosted one of the most popular booths at the event.  The DUNK TANK!

Participants started at the well decorated booth with the boat and water safety theme.  If they correctly answered the boat or water safety question correctly they got a piece of candy and a hand stamp allowing them three throws at the dunk tank to "Dunk A Scout".

Some of the Scouts from our pack manned the tank and had a blast getting dropped into the nice warm water.  Fortunately some Scouts from other packs volunteered themselves in the tank as well.  The air temperature was a bit chilly, so some shivers were inevitable.  Steve Abbit also took a turn in the tank while humorously heckling the kids and having a blast.  It was a long day but worth the effort as we hosted over 1,000 kids.  Hundreds of other booths were setup and manned by Scout Packs all over the state.  It was an incredibly fun, educational and rewarding time.
